2.5 Hour Self Study Class

At the end of this course, the participant will be able to:

1. Explain the importance of infant brain development.
2. List 4 risk factors of SIDS.
3. Explain the recognized cause and risk factors for Trauma Brain Injury.
4. Define shaken baby syndrome.
5. List symptoms of shaken baby syndrome.

This class provides:

(60 minutes) Recognizing and preventing shaken baby syndrome and abusive head trauma.

(45 minutes) Understanding and using safe sleep practices and preventing sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS)

(45 minutes) Understanding early childhood brain development.
